"We share our knowledge of natural, herbal solutions"

Meet the award-winning beauty brand inspired by family blends.

Fushi, meaning ‘eternal life’, began with the combined cultural heritage of founders Rannesh Jansari and Ria Pattni and from Ayurvedic family recipes handed down by their grandparents. They hand-blend the purest, fresh pressed oils and fresh ground herbs in their London workshop, sourcing the ingredients from this season’s harvest, meaning everything they make is less than three months old.

Tell us about your brand and how you came about?

R: "My real inspiration came from my grandfather who is a great believer in herbs and their benefits for health and wellbeing. Influenced by Ayurveda at a very early age, and being vegetarian myself, the Fushi ethos very much echoes my own, and that of my partner. Knowing of all these amazing natural and herbal solutions was knowledge both of us wanted to share – and to make them more accessible to people. These remedies have always been part of our lives and we have really seen and felt the benefits. We were inspired by the holistic approach to beauty and wanted to create a brand that nurtured you on the inside for a more glowing and beautiful outside. The idea developed from herbal remedies and eventually grew into encompassing body, beauty and hair care."

What’s your biggest challenge as a brand?

R: "Being an indie brand in a place like London, at the same time firmly adhering to our ethos of transparency and sourcing responsibility, creating ethical products, yet offering them at a value price is a challenge. Sustainable packaging is another, as we have always been a very earth friendly brand, always using glass but to go 100% zero waste is our goal."
