What To Do This Easter 10.04.20

Sadly, this Easter many of us aren't going to be away, visiting family or enjoying a huge Sunday dinner as we planned but that needn't mean you can't have an enjoyable time at home! We've got Easter pick me ups to fill your four long weekend with fun.

GET SET, BAKE!

We've still got three days to fill so why not try making one of the world's tastiest pastries? Pastéis de Nata or Portuguese Custard Tarts by Leite's Culinaria. This recipe can easily be broken up into a three day baking extravaganza but there is nothing else that will reward you so richly and deliciously than these tarts.

LISTEN & LAUGH

Comedian and best-selling children's author David Walliams has been releasing one of his children's audiobooks each day at 11am GMT on his website, each of the books are heartfelt, funny and free to listen to. They're even hilariously narrated by David Walliams himself.

GO TO THE ZOO

Planned to visit a zoo this Easter? Not to worry, you can tune into live webcams from zoos all over the world! You can watch stunning Beluga Whales twist and turn in the water, clumsy Giant Pandas enjoy their bamboo dinners and even baby Elephants run around. If however you want to animals in their natural habitat, the wild, head to Explore.org. They have hundreds of live cameras set up across the world!

EASTER EGG HUNT

Sadly, we won't be going on a proper Easter egg hunt this weekend but you can do one at home! First have fun getting messy by painting some boiled eggs as a family, you can choose whatever patterns or colours you want, then when your little ones go to sleep, hide those colourful eggs - get creative with your hiding spots - all over the house and garden, if you have them, for them to find! You could even give them a little prize when they've found them all
