Mitchell’s Wool Fat Soap
The story of Mitchell’s Wool Fat Soap dates back to the early 1930s when Yorkshire chemist Fred Mitchell discovered the nourishing effects of wool fat used by local sheep shearers. He found that its natural lanolin content kept their hands exceptionally soft, even given the hardy nature of their work. Wanting to bring this same nourishment to the hands of everyone, he developed a simple soap, rich in naturally-derived ingredients and kind to even the most sensitive skin. Mr Mitchell’s original formula has now gained a highly-regarded reputation the world over thanks to its gently cleansing and restoring properties, set to nurture the skin’s barrier function.
