Willsow is on a mission to educate both children and adults alike on how we can all do more for the world we call home. With a heartfelt focus on sustainability and social responsibility, each of Willsow’s story books is made with recycled paper from post-consumer waste, as well as 100% natural cotton to bind the pages together. That means they have an eco-past and will have an eco-future when you and your youngster have fun recycling the books together.
There are five page-turning tales to choose from in the Willsow book collection: The Parsley Who Flew To The Rescue, The Basil Who Built Bridges, The Carrot Who Was Too Big For His Bed, The Lettuce Who Wanted A New Look, and The Dill Who Foiled The Soil Snatchers. Each of the books is embedded with the seed that the story is about, ready to sow and begin their next adventure in the garden.
The First Plantable Book
Every single one of the books in the Willsow collection can be kept for up to two years, allowing you and your child to enjoy quality reading time together. They each come with easy-to-understand instructions too, so when you’re ready to, you can plant the pages in your garden or a plant pot and wait for them to flourish. Simply look after the pages as you would with any traditional seeds and then harvest once the vegetable or herb is ready to eat. It’s the perfect way to teach the next generation about the lifecycle of vegetables and how plants grow, plus the produce can be added to your family meals to ensure absolutely nothing goes to waste.
All of the seeds used in the story books are non-GMO and completely safe to grow and eat. The rest of the paper that the seeds are held in is fully-biodegradable and will break down naturally in the soil.
